Supernatural Season 2 Opener

This episode is better that Season 1 finale but not better than the “Pilot”, in my opinion.  This is mostly because they just got their father back only to loose him again.  It is like my life only crueler.  Instead of being able to go see your dad when you have time off, he is dead. In truth, the things I like about this episode are that one of the brothers has an out of body experience throughout the whole episode, and we get to meet and find out more about a reaper.

Episode Synopsis

Picking right upwhere season 1 left off we see the demon possessed truck driver get out of the truck and walk over to the driver’s side of the Chevy Impala, where Sam is.  The demon rips the door off, to see that Sam is holding The Colt and pointing it right at the demon.  The demon at first thinks Sam is bluffing, since the demon community knows that there is one bullet left and it is for their leader (yellow eyes), but then thinks better of it and escapes out of the trucker mouth as black smoke.
Sam, without moving, checks to see if his dad and Dean are alive.  Next, they are getting life flight out of a field. Now, they are in a hospital, according to Wikipedia, in Memphis, Tennessee. Dean wakes up, gets out of bed, and looks for Sam and his dad. He finds a nurse and asks her where his brother and dad are, but the nurse acts as if he is not there.  He runs back to his room, only to see that his body is on life support.
Sam walks into Dean’s room, Dean knowing he is a ghost but thinking Sam could hear him, says in his own way that he is relive to see Sam alive and ask if their fatheris alive. The doctor comes in and says that their father is awake.  Sam asks about Dean.  The doctor say that Dean has suffers major blood loss, contusions to his lover and kidney, but it is the head trauma that he is worried about.  Dean has early signs of cerebral edema (a form of altitude sickness).
Next, Sam is talking to his father, who gives him an insurance card with the name Elroy McGillicuddy.  His father asks about the Colt.  Sam tells him that it is in the trunk of the Impala and that Bobby is towing the car back to his place.
Sam goes to Bobby’s only to see that Dean will be pissed when he see the car. The car is smash in on the passenger side, but most of the car is in good condition. Bobby tells Sam that they should sell it, because it is not worth fixing.
Back at the hospital, Dean is yelling at his father for not helping him. Then, Dean sees a white ghost like skeleton go past his room.  Next, he finds a woman on the floor, not able to breathe, and dies.
Later, Sam and John get into a fight about John wanting to summon the demon when he should be helping Dean get better.  Dean gets angry enough to shove a glass off the table.  Sam and John notice, but is irrupted by a code blue coming from Dean’s room. Dean (spirit) is blinking in and out, while Dean (body) is being revised. Dean (spirit) walks into his room and sees the white ghost thing above his body. Dean (spirit) grabs a hold of the ghost for a second.  The ghost stops sucking the life out of Dean (body) and flies off elsewhere.
Next, a woman, Tessa, is yelling at people, asking if they can see her. Dean walks up to her and asks the same question.  She answers yes and asks what is happening to her.  They find out that she is also on life support after coming in for surgery
Meanwhile, Sam tells his father that he felt Dean.  John tells his son that he will not summon the demon until Dean is okay.
Dean sees the white ghost thing again only this time over a little girl. Sam comes into Dean’s room with an Ouija board, to talk to Dean.  Dean tells Sam that there is a Reaper in the hospital and it is after himself.
John walks to the hospital basement to summon the demon.  Upstairs, Sam tells Dean that John was not in his room, but he left his journal. They flip to the page about reapers to find out that they can appear in any form they want and they can alter human perception.  Dean goes to find Tessa in a room sitting on a bed.  Dean tells her that he knows she is a reaper.  She tells him that it is his time to go and that he is living on borrow time.
Next, the viewer sees John summoning the demon.  He tells the demon that he wants to make a deal.
Back upstairs Sam is talkingto Dean (body), telling him that he needs to come back to him.  Meanwhile Dean (Spirit) is trying to bargain with the reaper to keep living.  The reaper tells him that he cannot go back to his body, but he still has a choice.  He could become an angry spirit or go with the reaper.
Back downstairs, John tells the demon that if he brings Dean back he will give him the Colt and his life inreturn.
Back upstairs, Dean (spirit),still talking to the reaper, sees the lights flash, and the demon possesses the reaper, to bring Dean back to life.
John comes into Dean’s room to say how proud he is and to say goodbye.
Next, John handsover the Colt and himself to the demon. Later, Sam finds John’s body on the floor.  A nurse and doctor try to revive him only he is already dead.

  1. Supernatural is one of my favorite shows. I have all of the seasons on DVD. I'm not sure if its a good thing or a bad thing, but its practically like a different show once it gets into the later seasons! One of my absolute favorite seasons comes around either season four or five, I forget.

It could easily be my computer, because it's from the dinosaur ages...but just to mention, your text is a little hard to read.

    1. No it was not your computer somehow when it published this one, it only switch half of words to white lettering and the rest stayed black. That and trying to find a color that would stand out against that picture was hard. Therefore, thanks for telling me. I hope this picture is better to see the words with.
