Smallville's final epesiode begins with Chloe Sullivan reading a comic book to her son titled "Smallville" seven years in the future then goes to present to see how Lois and Clark don't get married. 1st because she doesn't want to then because Clark needed to save Oliver Queen. After that its because Clark needs to find the power within him to save the world from the planet Apokolips. And lets.not forget Superman's greatest enemy Lex Luthor needs to come back to life.
In my opinion, it was a good ending to a beginning. Clark finds the power within him while he is being thrown arcoss the room. Now up until this point he has not been able to fly except when after he was reborn as Ka'le otherwise Clark Kent could not fly. Well at this moment he gets a flash of all the trials that his life has put him through. Once he realize that he has the power to defeat Darkseid and save the world that's when he stops being propeled through the air and floats 8ft off the ground. This scene I thought while watching it was first, bout time I thought he would never learn how to fly. Then at the same time I realize that was his last trail. The moment he can fly is the moment he can be the hero everyone knows him as Superman.
The only problem is you still don't get to see how he or she pick Superman to be the new name for The Blur. Other than that the ending was a perfect transition point from Smallville to Superman, because we got to see the famous suit under the reporter outfit.
